Only four Russian chess players have left in the 1/8 finals of the World Championship which is held in Moscow these days. Alexander Khalifman, world champion-1999 has surrendered to Joel Lautier. The present world champion Viswanathan Anand is not losing yet, but he has encountered strong opposition. This time - from Vladislav Tkachev. Though Anand has won his game. |
